I know. As a writer, I know I’ve memorized the most impactful parts of my adventures. After a few weeks of routines at home, notable moments start to fade. While pictures provoke some memories, I discover I’m missing tiny details.
The first travel journal came about after a trip my sister Jackie and I made to Wales in 2016. We shared adventures on trains and buses, rode with a crazy taxi driver or two (one good, one not so much). What incredible people we met at more than one soul-captivating location, sharing conversations that enriched the trip.
The completely blank travel journal I had wasn’t helping my brain track crucial encounters. Wondering how I could prompt better recall resulted in this book’s design.
