The island of Maui is known for golf, but if you don’t play, don’t let that keep you from visiting. The beaches are lovely—what else would you expect from Hawaii? But the Haleakala Crater is totally stunning. It will take your breath away and have you wonder, for a moment, if you’ve landed on Mars. The lavender fields you pass on the way there will fill your scents and make you swoon.
Maui, Hawaii’s Valley Isle Beckons
I’d always heard that golfers like Maui because of the preponderance of courses. Bully for them, eh, I don’t golf.
What I do, is enjoy the outdoors. Join me on a hike or let’s take a drive up the winding roads to Haleakala. Let’s dine outside and watch the palm trees sway in an ocean breeze. This is bliss, sitting near a beach, hearing the waves, and dreaming of … anything.
